Dear Kurukulla Community,
Over the past twelve months we have had much to rejoice about:
None of this would have been possible without your generous financial help, especially in response to appeals for help for specific projects, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all who have made contributions, great or small.
In addition to the costs of the special projects mentioned above, we have regular expenses of about $8,000 a month in support of our Sangha and the Center. And as a result of all the above and our usual dry summer, our reserves have dwindled considerably.
Therefore I implore you to reaffirm your support of the Center and make any special end-of-year donations you possible can, to make sure we replenish our reserves and have plenty in hand for 2011 to meet our regular monthly expenses, as shown here:
The best way you can help us meet our monthly outgoings is to become a member. We have recently revised our membership levels and simplified our relationship with our parent organization, the FPMT. Please visit our Membership page to see the details of what they are now.
In short:
Sustaining member: $1,500 a year
Family member: $900 a year
Regular member: $600 a year
Student member: $420 a year
Friend: $125 a year
Some of these amounts might be more than you're paying now. Please check. If you can possibly afford the higher figure, please upgrade to that...or even to a higher level of membership. We really need your help to keep the Center going, benefiting many with teachings and service.
If you are also able to make an end-of-year lump sum donation, please do that as well. All donations are tax-deductible. We will send 2009 receipts out at the end of the year.
