How to Develop a Good Heart with Geshe Tenley

A Guide to a Bodhisattva's Way of Life, composed by the great bodhisattva Shantideva is a Mahayana classic. It explains the great value of developing an altruistic mind and how to do so by removing obstacles and creating the requisite positive conditions. By hearing this advice and putting it into practice, our altruistic impulses can evolve from mere flashes of lightning in the dark of the night to steady illumination of love and compassion regardless of any situation. This course is suitable for all levels of students. Copies of A Guide to a Bodhisattva's Way of Life and commentaries on it are available for purchase in our bookstore.

Geshe Ngawang Tenley, who came to Kurukulla from Sera Je monastery in the spring of 2004, has been a monk for over fifteen years. He is Geshe Tsulga's nephew and serves as his attendant. He recently completed his final exams and was conferred the Geshe degree at Sera Je Monastery. His cheerfulness and humility endear him to everyone he meets.

All are welcome!
