Presentation and discussion about monk sponsorship and the work of The Geshe Tsulga Non-Profit Corporation with Bill and Andrea Judge

Please join Bill and Andrea Judge for a presentation and discussion about monk sponsorship and the work of The Geshe Tsulga Non-Profit Corporation.

Our kind and wise teacher Geshe Tenley trained as a Buddhist monk at Sera Je Monastery in the south of India for nearly 20 years. This enormous monastic community is organized into "houses" and Geshe Tenley lived and studied with his monk brothers of House 2A where his teacher Geshe Tsulga was a main teacher.

Though conditions at the monastery have improved enormously over the decades since its re-establishment in the early 70s, the monks are none-the-less still in need of tremendous support. It is a great blessing that three meals a day for all monks are sponsored by Lama Zopa Rinpoche. However, all other needs such as medicine, toiletries, bedding, study materials, solar power necessary for back-up electricity, maintenance of their living quarters, travel and so forth are the responsibility of each House.

We can actively express our appreciation for Geshe Tenley's kindness and dedication by supporting the needs of the monks of House 2A through sponsorship. As well we ensure the continuity of highly trained teachers who uphold and deeply preserve the Buddha's teachings.

We are delighted that Bill and Andrea Judge, who are visiting from their home in North Carolina, will share all about sponsorship. They will explain about the Geshe Tsulga Non-Profit Corporation and how we can make a huge difference in the lives of Geshela's "family" at his monastery in India. If you are unable to join us at 5:00 pm on Saturday but are still interested in meeting Bill and Andrea please email Marianne to set up a meeting.

Thank you so much!
