We are incredibly fortunate and deeply honored to welcome His Eminence the 7th Kaybje Ling Rinpoche to Kurukulla Center.
H.E. Ling Rinpoche is the reincarnation of His Holiness Kyabje Ling Rinpoche, the late senior tutor to His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama who was the 97th holder of the Throne of Gaden and head of the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
Today H.E.Ling Rinpoche will be conferring the Amitayus Long Life Initiation.
Amitayus is seen as 'The Buddha of Boundless Life' — a sambhogakaya aspect of Buddha Amitabha, particularly associated with longevity. He is mostly depicted sitting and holding in his hands a vessel containing the nectar of immortality.
