We are pleased to once again invite families with children from infants to teens to join Geshe Tenley and facilitators for a family-friendly Dharma teaching on Saturday, March 2. The gathering will also include games, crafts, and short mindfulness exercises.
We will focus the teaching and activities on courage, the seventh and final foundation of the Seven Foundations for Happiness and Peace as taught by Lama Zopa Rinpoche in the book "Joyful Parents, Successful Children". The Seven Foundations represent Buddhist values that include kindness, rejoicing, patience, forgiveness, apologizing, contentment and courage. We will have more copies of the book available this time and will read brief excerpts during our gathering.
Please RSVP via email to kids@kurukulla.org if you would like to attend (this is very helpful for our planning). We are also looking for volunteers to bring snacks and drinks, read a book to the children, etc.
Family-friendly teachings are being scheduled on a quarterly basis this year. We sincerely hope as many families as possible will be able to join in March.
