FPMT Statement Regarding Dagri Rinpoche
Kurukulla Center is affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) (Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition), a worldwide organization of over 160 independent centers, projects and study groups that follow the advice and spiritual direction of Kaybje Lama Zopa Rinpoche as part of what we term the FPMT Mandala.
As we shared with you last week we’ll be hosting a community discussion session this Saturday, December 5, from 10 AM to 12 PM, to discuss announcement made by the FPMT Board of Directors on November 20. Most in our community have never met or received teachings from Dagri Rinpoche. Notwithstanding, it is important to deal with these matters – of sexual misconduct – openly and transparently to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community.
I will be facilitating the discussion. Most important will be to have an open, honest, and respectful discussion, and to be mindful and sensitive with one another as difficult moments are likely to arise during this time together.
In the interim, if you would like to discuss or share any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com.
With folded hands,
Kurukulla Center Director
