In response to Geshe Tenley's car accident it is important that his students do as much practice - both individually and especially as a community. Tonight we will do community practice, which will include some combination of Medicine Buddha puja, Heart Sutra recitations, Tara practice, or recitation of sutras such as a chapter from Golden Light or the Vajra Cutter.
If you participate in this practice, please remember to send us email to let us know!
Wendy and Sarah will lead these Tuesday practice sessions until the regular Yoga classes can resume.
Wendy Cook has been practicing yoga since 1987 and teaching since 2001. She is interested in making yoga accessible to all, which means encouraging people to listen to their own experience without pressure to conform or achieve. She discovered Buddhism in 1987 and was Director of Kurukulla Center from 2002-2008.
Sarah L. Frederiksen has been a student at Kurukulla Center since January 2008 and has held several roles, including Spiritual Program Coordinator for two years. She has completed 200-hour yoga teacher certification, 100-hour Soulful Yoga Therapy certification, and 200-hour Foundations of Ayurveda training.
