Damchoe is our resident translator and has translated all recent teachings with Geshe Tenley on Wednesdays and Sundays. The Wednesday night classes focus on more advanced topics. As a former monk of more than 20 years, Kurukulla Center benefits not only from Damchoe's translations but also from his own knowledge and understanding of Buddhist teachings.

To help students develop a deeper understanding of the topics covered in recent Wednesday teachings, Damchoe will lead group discussion. Each day may be different, and it will be very helpful to the discussion if regular students bring their questions and topics that they would be interested to discuss. Expect this to be a lively and engaged discussion session, not a teaching format.

Damchoe trained at Kopan Monastery, Kathmandu, Nepal, the heart center of the FPMT and was a monk for more than 20 years. He came to Kurukulla Center as Geshe Tsulga's interpreter in 1998. We are very fortunate to have Damchoe as Kurukulla's translator, giving us access to Geshe Tenley's teachings with precision, dedication and humor.
