We continue our recitation of Sutra of Golden Light led by Marianne Richter. This is a practice we have done at the Center many times over the years and one that is highly encouraged by Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
There is a page on the FPMT website dedicated to the Sutra of Golden Light where you can learn more about the value of reciting the Sutra, receive the oral transmission, download a copy of the text, etc.
We will dedicate the positive energy (merit) to the long and stable lives of the gurus, and especially to the long and stable life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, for all obstacles to our teachers' projects be eliminated especially obstacles to any of His Holiness’s projects, Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s projects, and Geshe Tenley’s swift and full recovery. We will also dedicate the merits so that all war, violence, terrorism, destructive weather, diseases – especially Covid-19 – and famine be eliminated. May everyone enjoy peace, abundance, good health, and have love and compassion in their hearts.
You are welcome to join for the whole recitation or for any portion as you are able. Even reciting a few lines of the Sutra is very powerful. Here is the schedule of the recitation:
