Immerse your senses this season in the nourishing health methods of Ayurveda & Yoga. Clear and strengthen your body and mind to withstand the increasingly dry, light, and cool conditions of autumn. Then settle back into the harmony of your own natural equilibrium.
This workshop will overview how to apply the wisdom of Ayurveda & Yoga using dynamic hands-on practices, like food, lifestyle, herbal tea, oil massage, breathwork, meditation, and Yoga poses. These powerful yet simple methods are especially therapeutic to negative patterns in the mind and can help manage physical symptoms of depletion, irritation, and stagnation.
No experience is necessary and content will be modified as needed for varying levels of knowledge/experience. Adults are welcome and teens 13yrs+ with an adult caregiver may join too.
This retreat-like workshop will feature:
Intention-setting (Sankalpa)
Introduction to Ayurvedic principles for seasonal health (Ritucharya)
Breathwork (Pranayama)
Ayurvedic snack + tea, plus mindful eating practice (Ahara/Yoga)
Guided herbal oil massage of a local area (Abhyanga)
Slow and still restorative postures (Yoga Asana)
Guided meditation (Savasana/Yoga Nidra)
