In this afternoon's teaching Venerable Khen Rinpoche Geshe Lobsang Delek will explain The Three Principal Aspects of the Path to Enlightenment - renunciation, bodhicitta and the right view of emptiness.
To escape from suffering and find everlasting happiness we have to study and practice the teachings on the path to enlightenment. The teachings of the Buddha were first formulated into what we call the lam-rim (the steps of the path) by the great Atisha (Dipankara Shrijnana, 982-1055) when he came to Tibet in 1042.
An essential feature of the lam-rim is its division into the three principal aspects: renunciation, bodhicitta, and right view of emptiness.
